Motor Mount Repair

Broken or damaged motor mounts don’t necessarily mean your cases are junk. Shop67 can repair and restore damaged engine case mounts back to proper alignment and fitment.

Starting with your bare, empty engine cases, we:

  • Strip the coating/paint from the damaged area and properly prep the casting.

  • Preheat the cases, build up the missing material, and TIG weld the damaged mounts.

  • Weld in reinforcement gussets where needed for additional strength.

  • Stress-relieve the repaired area and allow the cases to slowly cool to minimize distortion.

  • Fixture the cases in our CNC mill and machine the repaired mounting surfaces back flat and square.

  • Re-establish the factory mounting-hole locations and machine them to size.

  • Blend and finish the repaired areas for a clean appearance.

  • Thoroughly wash the cases and refinish the repaired area with Harley-Davidson-style wrinkle black paint.

The end result is a structurally repaired motor mount with the mounting surfaces and bolt locations CNC-machined back into proper position—not simply welded up and sent back out.
